About the Lutcher Theater Service Guild

The Lutcher Service Guild is a non-profit organization that began when the theater opened its doors in 1980. Service Guild Volunteers play an important role as a supplementary resource to the Lutcher Theater staff in order to provide a world-class experience for all visitors.

The Service Guild members are our best ambassadors, whose smiling faces are the first thing our performers & audiences see when they arrive and the last thing they see when they leave.

In an average year, the Lutcher Service Guild interacts with over 30,000 visitors in a variety of ways: Administrative, Audience Development, Hospitality, Membership, Patron Services and Sets, Lights and Props.

Annually, Service Guild Volunteers donate 3400+ hours, serving hundreds of pounds of snacks & gallons of drinks, 585 meals for cast & crew members, scanning approximately 20,000 tickets, seating all the patrons and ushering almost 9,000 school children & teachers into The Lutcher for our Lutcher Incredible Kids Events performances.

Opportunities

Event Planning: Work closely with theater staff to execute special events. They shall be responsible for the December meeting, the May annual meeting, and Christmas decorations.

Audience Development: Acquaint the public with theater happenings; distribute show posters

Hospitality: Cook for the stars! Provide hospitality to our traveling cast members

Membership: Help conduct membership drive and events

Patron Services: Usher, scan tickets and work in the concession stands

Sets, Lights and Props (SLAP): Assist Lutcher Theater Technical Director as a stagehand
