Kennedy Center Partners in Education

The Partners in Education program of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts helps arts organizations across the nation develop and strengthen educational partnerships with local school districts. These partnerships focus on providing high-quality professional learning in the arts for teachers.

In 2003, the Lutcher Theater was selected as a Kennedy Center Partners in Education site in partnership with Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD. This designation placed the Lutcher among a select group of performing arts organizations nationwide recognized for excellence in arts education and enabled it to bring nationally recognized teacher training and classroom arts integration programs to Southeast Texas.
